Over the Hedge

Author: “Over the Hedge” is a funny movie released in 2006. Doogal recommends you to watch this animation because of its bright characters and exciting plot!
Waking up after long winter tortoise Verne and her woodland friends finds out the hedge raised at their territory. Quick raccoon RJ explains everybody that this hedge is a gates into beautiful life. There the strange creatures live. They are named “people”:
RJ: They *always* got food with them. We eat to live – these guys live to eat! Let me show you what I’m talking about!
RJ: The human mouth is called a ‘piehole’, the human being is called a ‘couch potato’.
Verne is very careful and she tries to stop her friends of entering the gates. But pushy RJ proves wood citizens that human’s waste products are the real treasure for animals. RJ and Verne conclude an alliance and enter human society…
“Over the Hedge” animation is based on the 1995 comics of the same name written by Michael Fry and T. Lewis. The main comics’ characters were tortoise and raccoon that looked at people’s life with biting irony. Such an interesting story interested Dreamworks.
