“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” is based on popular children’s book of the same name written by Judi and Ron Barrett. Now it’s CG-animated movie directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The story refers to young talented inventor living in a small village. He makes up the strange technology which allows converting water into different delicious foods.

The island is called Swallow Falls. People there are fishing all the time. There is no variety in meals. Citizens eat sardines and nothing else except it. But one young man realizes that there might be the way out from this situation. He doesn’t like fish and dreams about other delicatessens.
But the island is isolated from other world and sardine industry is the only way to survive for people. Flint and his friend, “talking” monkey Steve decide to think up something and change the situation on their native land. They create a special machine that can turn water into different food. So that rains bring citizens happy minutes. Now they can choose what to eat and try new meals imaginable.
Flint’s technology really works. Now there are plenty of ice-creams, burgers, steaks and pies. Flint is really happy but he can hardly guess what will happen soon. The food is falling from the skies so intensively that it can destroy the village. And now there is a huge danger hanging over Swallow Falls…

Movie creators made a perfect entertaining story. It was quite risky idea but it certainly get a success among target auditory!
