In 1991 Walt Disney presented its instant classic. “Beauty and the Beast” has become one of the most popular and beloved movie since that time. This is insuperable movie because every scene is infused with the magic. All is done perfectly, every character has bright features. The tale about Beauty and the Beast is an old one. It was written by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. Later movie screenwriter Linda Woolverton used this story for new animated movie. An interesting and amazing fact that every thing in this animation can talk: candles, cups, clocks and others. This story is incredibly kind and interesting for all categories of viewers.

Plot

Belle is pretty girl living in a small town in France. She is the most beautiful citizen and every man wants to have such perfect wife. Gloomy and vain Gaston tries to win Belle’s heart as well. Belle lives with her father and helps him in everything. But one day he disappears in the forest. Belle goes to find him and comes upon dark castle. When she enters this building she faces strange creatures which can speak, for example, clock and candles. Then Belle meets big monster who rule this house. He was turned into beast having been a beautiful prince before. Now he has to fins someone who will love him and then he’ll be able to come back to normal life. Belle falls in love with the Beast.

Interesting facts about the movie

  • Chip, cup, originally had only one replica, but the producers liked his voice so much that they added a few additional replicas for him.
  • Gaston had to be short and old, but the authors decided to remake him and made the Beast looking like Richard White.
  • Belle in French is a “beauty”, Gaston means “handsome”, Lefou is a “fool”, Lumiere means “light”, Cogsworth is translated as “time”.
